shamussy Posted January 31, 2007 Report Share Posted January 31, 2007 A quick look at the fixture list shows that we seriously have a lot of games on the way. In fact we have 7 matches per calendar month for the next couple of months. Do we have enough strength in depth? I think so... First we have two fit keepers now, then we have cover in every position at the back and a certain amount of flexibility with the likes of Keogh and Fontaine (who may not be a good first choice but is a decent stand-in at this level). The central midfield area has been packed for competition all season with Noble, Skuse, Johnson and Russell vying for two spots and although some combinations are prefered, none are massively weak. with the new signings plus mcallisters flexibility on the left, we are covered in wide positions too. Strikers will be ok so long as they stay fit, but we again have 3 established strikers in brooker, enoch and jevons plus new additions. It's great that we really do have a good strong squad and with some promising youngsters also coming through in the academy, i see ourselves in a strong position for the remainder of the season.
