formerly known as ivan Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 people have been screaming for noble to be given a run in the team. now, after two very good performances against a premiership team, with playing one up front and noble linking the midfield, does anyone think this formation could work in our league?i would have my doubts as against middlesbrough they gave the time and space for us to knock the ball around and create things. whether we would get the same time and space in our league is another thing. defenders and midfielders are a lot more in your face than what boro were on tuesday night.should gary think about trying the 4-4-1-1 against blackpool on saturday??
andy g Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 we need to find some way of getting Noble in the team - but two observations...against - the boro pitch was a big one (and a good one) which made it easier to pass the ball around in midfield - you sometimes need to battle harder in league one gamesfor - david noble contributed more to the team as an extra midfielder than any of our "second strikers" have recently
