Loan Striker - Luke Moore ?

Played 7 Prem games earlier in the season, 2 goals. Played 5 Reserve games - 5 goals. That is FA Premier Reserve Fixtures not the Micky Mouse we play in.

Can't get on Villa's bench - they have 6 fit strikers. Hardly any Reserve Fixtures coming up.

Went on loan to Wycombe ouple of seasons back as an 18 yr old 6 games - 4 goals.

And don't say wages, now is the time.

Would O'Neill upset those in Nottm who still love him?

PICK UP THAT PHONE.

Is a loan, Villa would pay substantial portion if can be persuadedthat he would get games in a good side and boost the lads confience with GOALS from all the chances we create. Cheap promotion that would be.

And he got pace to burn.

Ian, that's far too sensible and a no-brainer.

Come on man - think of some pitfalls for gawds sake!

that a no go,

a) he was pulled out of Villa's Reserve game last night and is in the squad for tonights game against Arsenal as Sutton and Maloney are both injured apparently.

b) there is a article on BBC website from friday, saying he's already turned down a loan moves and has no intention of going out on loan as it would make no sense with him so close to a 1st team return

next........

Well if we can't attract a decent player to loan from a Prem/Championship club now, then we never will.

We are flying high in a promotion push, what great experience it would be for a player. He would just about be certain to play due to our injuries. The wages would be paid on the whole by the parent club and we would only have to pay a portion, and it's only a couple of months at that. I hope we won't be looking back and thinking 'if only'.

nothing like people being realistic!

Christ........Andy Cole and Teddy Sheringham didn't play at the weekend either, lets get them in?

jesus christ.......the only thing more scary is that some people are actually serious, as someone else has said though, he's already turned down a number of clubs, why would he be in the slightest bit interested in playing for us for a couple of games on loan! it's embrassing

Who would you suggest then? The more names that we can come up the merrier. I gave a few but a few moaned at that. Be nice to get some real targets in before Thursday. We simple cant rely on the players we have as they are always getting injured/sick!

Whilst understanding your sentiment about being reasonable & realistic, is that what's stopped us from signing Best & Beckford, who were available (then) and were prepared to play at this level?

Cole & Sherringham------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Andy Smith

Perhaps somewhere in between?

that's the problem, there is barely anyone available who meets the requirements we need, an experienced forward with a good goal scoring record who is available. the player we want is quite possibly not out their, the best we stand of getting is an young premiership prospect but then they will have no experience and quite possibly be not good enough.

bascially unless we can find someone better than we already have then we are better off going with what we have rather than a panic signing

easy to pick out Best and Beckford however prior to joining Yeovil and Scunny their records were nothing to shout about and in the same league as the likes of Smith, Savage and Corr when they signed for city......what we would have got if we have got them......"they have no scoring records"
