nickD Posted October 27, 2003 Report Share Posted October 27, 2003 Think i have to agree with Fct there. Carey's not doing us any favours any more.... Burnell can't hold up his hand let alone the midfield.... Wilkshire can't play wide right..... Roberts needs to be on a wing to beat left/right backs and put in crosses...... They also need to stop with the long balls. It never works but they seem to think that but hoofing it upfield towards the oppositions defense that we'll create a promising move out of it. I feel that passing the ball and opening up the defense is the best, or breaking down the flanks and putting crosses in. Of course, the team at the moment are struggling to do either. Scott Murray should make his comeback and with Aaron Brown we would have a couple of sprinters who have some good form and should do well this season. Tinnion should play centrally alongside Doherty, who should be tried with blinkers to see if it improves his temperament. Lita should replace Peacock up front, and play alongside Miller, who has shown glimpses of good form and now needs to confirm his potential. Peacock seems to foul all over the pitch too much and should clean up his act before returning. Wilkshire, the show pony, should be rested and should train hard in soft conditions to toughen him up. Roberts must be in the team as he is the only player with genuine pace. From what I have seen Luke Wilkshire has been poor. How he used to play in the Premier League I will never know. He doesnt tackle and cant take anyone on. He knocks it past defenders and they just come accross him and he's too small to do anything and never puts his foot in anyway. Also big Kev must start!!
