Run-in

Hi, (just doing up the anorak)

Having a look at the run ins for all teams still in realistic contention for auto-promotion. Have the following stats which may or may not interest you!!

All 6 teams have 8 games left (4H & 4A) except blackpool whose extra game is at home.

S****horpe :- Average league pos of Home opponents = 12

Average league pos of Away opponents = 11

BCFC :- Average league pos of Home opponents = 10

Average league pos of Away opponents = 12

Forest :- Average league pos of Home opponents = 20

Average league pos of Away opponents = 13

Yeovile :- Average league pos of Home opponents = 18

Average league pos of Away opponents = 7

Old Ham :- Average league pos of Home opponents = 15

Average league pos of Away opponents = 18

Blackpoo :- Average league pos of Home opponents = 9

Average league pos of Away opponents = 18

On paper ,Yeovil have clearly the most difficult 4 away games having to travel to S****horpe (1), AG (2) & Oldham (5) and

City have imo the most difficult home run in having to play Forest (3), Yeovil (4) and Swansea (8).

Forests home run looks like 4 home Bankers. Crewe (13), Bournemouth (19), Cheltenham (22) and Rotherham (24)

City have 6 out of 8 games against teams in the top half which is 2 more than anyone else. Oldham have only to play 1 team in the top half and Forest only 2.

Citys last 4 games away are against teams we beat at home. Conversley, we only picked up 2 points away to the teams we have left to play at home.

Hopefully having to play against better teams will bring the best out of us. We all know that we tend to slip up more against the teams towards the bottom of the table (i.e. Chelt 3 times this season, Bradford at home, Rotherham away etc.)

Please let this be the year!! 6 wins out of 8 and its ours......surely!!

Well worth donning the Anorak for Dave.

Blackpool's game in hand is actually away at Rotherham so they have 5 away and four home left, sorry about me own anorak.

Sorry, you're quite right.........Rotherham is about as good as you could want for your game in hand though!!

Cheltenham whilst fighting for their own lives down at the bottom could play a significant part in the auto promotion race.

They have to face Forest & Oldham but have already beaten City, Swansea, Doncaster & Yeovil on their travels whilst holding Scunny & City at home and beaten Tranmere & Swansea at home.

Their problem has been their performances against the bottom half sides.

Their record against the top half is 12th best in our division, their record against the bottom half is 24th!

Don't rule out Cheltenham taking something away from the City Ground on Saturday.
