Looks like the best Brooker & Keogh can hope for is a seat on the bench.

Please God we don't go unchanged and use 4-5-1 again.

I reckon we could well go 3-5-2 give our success away from home over the last few games.

All out attack, at them from the start. That would do for me!

I think this formation would work.

If you want all out attack from the start, surely Betsy is a must to start ?? You haven't even put him on the bench

I don't think wilson has played to well lately so i think this formation 4-3-1-2, Noble has been outstanding playing in this position, and with Smith pace might frighting the defence. Smith to get his 1st goal on sat i hope!!

Why do we? All it does is take up a seat on the bench that can be taken by an attacking player. We have only needed a keeper on the bench once in years!

So those 3 games that Basso came off last season to be replaced twice by Phillips and once by Abbey were a dream, were they?

Yes! To be honest i don't remember that happening but youre probably right. My point being is that it is a very rare occurance that we need a sub keeper on the bench as opposed to an attacing palyer that could be the difference between 0 point and 1, or 1 point and 3.

I would go with 3-5-2 again especially when Doncaster are without three forwards (Price, Heff & McCammon)

Basso

Carey---McCombe---Fontaine

Betsy--Noble--Russell--Johnson--Wilson

Showunmi---Jevons

Bench

Keogh

Skuse

Brooker

McAllister

Thomas

Brooker looked well behind the pace in the reserves in the week. He would be a good impact

player for the last twenty minutes.

One word-Basso-Left the field injured more than any other City keeper in 40+ years of watching.

Whichever way we go is tough on someone with us having our strongest squad available in months.

Orr was MOM last week but could miss out in a 3-5-2.

If we play with two central midfielders then you can't get LJ & DN on the field.

It's a tricky one but those are nice problems to have, not having any strikers is where you don't want to be.

nice too see fontaine playing alot recentley

always liked the guy, he was such an intergral part of our rise from the ashes last year

was sorry when he didnt get much of an look in for alot of the season, but fair play to him his behaviour has been exemplarily and the guy seems to have real passion if you watch him and look at pictures of him celebrating

fair play fontaine, quality player

While the other 2 occasions were injury related, he came off for Abbey to give Abbey a run-out in his last possible chance at Southend.
