Almondsbury_red
having watched the game in the dolman i felt the team played well but liam fontaine was very poor. when he recieved the ball he looked unsure about what to do with it. imo hes the weak link in the team. i no jamie mac was injured but why not play a bak 3 with noble playing?what do you guys think? redseptember
I think the problem with Fontaine is that he is not a natural fullback. He is hesitant in his decision making and does not have the confidence to take on his man when he gets forward.Whatever did happen to Craig Woodman? i_am_red
Fontaine was better getting down the left flank than wilson

redseptember
Margot is much better at centre-back than fullback. We need a proper fullback in that position especially with the right-footed Wilson in front.
Chivs
I thought Fontaine was woeful in the first half and improved in the second. He seemed to start the game on his heels. I don't know if this was nerves or being picked out of position.

What happened to him over the summer?

Although Liam Fontaine as 4th choice centre-back says a lot; and it's for this reason that I don't think we'll need to stengthen this area if we do go up. BristolCity1992
Much beter in the second half but his posistioning in the first half was shocking, no fault of his own though he is a very good centre back playing at left back because he has a left foot. Wodders I feel sorry for really, looked like last season he had broken into the first team properly but I think GJ relized he had got the best out of him and I doubt he will be here any longer. Rocky
Going forward he was awful, not a left back/wing back in the slightest, he looked like an out of position centre half which he is! did well defensively though.
