Drew Peacock
What happens if you cheer City on, would you get escorted to the City end or ejected?
SC&T Board Members Blagdon red Posted April 8, 2007 SC&T Board Members Report Share Posted April 8, 2007 What happens if you cheer City on, would you get escorted to the City end or ejected? That would be at the discretion of their stewards. As for getting tickets at this late stage, I reckon you have 2 possibilities:1) Go to AG at 8.15 Monday morning. Although the ticket office is officially closed, CATS staff will be around (coaches leave at 8.30) and MAY be able to sell you tickets.2) Go to the game anyway. The Gillingham website says nothing about this game being all-ticket and says tickets are available in ALL parts of the ground. The recent away game at Crewe was officially all-ticket, but the ticket office there were happy to sell tickets on the day for the away section. Put yourself in the home club's position: If an away fan turns up at the ticket office and asks politely to buy a ticket for the away end, what is the club's best course of action? To take the money, have a satisfied customer and ensure correct segregation, or to refuse to sell you a ticket, have a disgruntled customer and run the risk of your mate then buying tickets for you in the home part of the ground? If you go as a group, I'd suggest one of you goes to the ticket office first and asks for the number of tickets you need for the away end. If you are refused, another member of your group - with the most non-Bristol accent - could then go and buy the required number for one of the home stands. Admin phantom Posted April 8, 2007 Admin Report Share Posted April 8, 2007 Not wanting to convince you to travel for no reason, but over the past seasons have seen it on numerous occasions where the game is "all ticket" but you get to the away ground and see tickets on sale.Another idea would be to call Gillingham ticket office and see if you can buy them via them - that way you would also know the latest on the ticket restrictions ! Portishead Red
I'm going to go up without a ticket. City have sold 1100 out of 1500 so plenty of room at the Inn...!
Collis
So there will be no problems travelling without a ticket?
Squeak
So there will be no problems travelling without a ticket?I wouldn't say that, but it looks like your in with a good shout of getting in and as a last resort, go in the home end. Gillingham would have to be idiots to turn away good business.Enjoy the day, I know I will!
NiceRed
I'm sure you'll have no probs buying away tickets at the game. And if not, well, the main stand's not exactly going to be like Galatasaray or Millwall is it?
