Going To Millwall Again ?

Just got back.

After being held for 50 minutes behind the away stand, the police slowly walked us up a gangway towards the station platform. There we stayed for another 5 minutes.Onto the train believing we are to be taken to Paddington.Rumour is whether you drove there or not you are getting onto the train.I believe some have to return to london tomorrow to retrieve their vehicles.

Onto Waterloo and again escorted, then held, then down the escalators the be held....then onto the tube.

Now this is where it gets concerning. We squeeze onto the tube and I mean hundreds of us along with "kitted out Coppers" .

Then onto another station to be escorted to an area to be held then onto another tube and now this bit is very concerning. For some reason it seems even more packed. Its ****in damn hot and there doesnt seem to be any air.

I'm not kidding. We were packed like sardines or cattle if you like.Even one of the Old Bill was unhappy about it.

Then its off to Paddington to be held at the bottom og the escalators for a further 5 minutes. At the top once we got there we are surrounded by Coppers and barking dogs along with hundreds of commuters looking in bewilderment.

In a way it was slightly embarassing as though we had got upto some bother.

Now our car was parked by QPRs ground. One of us had a word with acopper stating where our car was.Luckily we had proof we needed the Hammersmith line.He told us to "get going now and don't come back".We were very lucky..It seems the rest were forced to either come back to Bristol without their car or return back to Bermondsey to retrieve their vehicles.

In between, the singing in the stations was a laugh....oh and the blokes sliding down the escalator rails was a laugh.

You obviously haven't read the coach threads springing up.

It was a bit embarassing being marched back, but the crowding on the tube was no worse than it is when I have been in London at rush hour.

I saw one or two people not getting on our tube, but being allowed to get on a different one.

You didn't seem to have to get on the Temple Meads train if you didn't want to, it seemed a bit confused at the top of the steps.

Had a similar experience a few years ago, whilst I was living in London and thought I was going to end up back in Bristol (or at least Reading) after the game at Millwall. Fortunately, and not wearing any colours, I was able to sit down on a seat when we had to change tube lines and pretend I was nothing to with the rest of the City fans. I do remember though, walking through London Bridge station, surrounded by coppers, thinking everyone watching this must think we're scum.
