Lansdown On The Rich List

I see Steve Lansdown is No. 301 on the Sunday Times rich list, with £245m. A tidy sum - just a bit more than most of us. He's No. 20 in the list of football millionaires, more than Steve Gibson of Boro, Jack Hayward of Wolves, Beckham, David Dein etc. Apart from Premiership backers, the only lower league person above him is a Simon Keswisk who backs Cheltenham (why?) and the bloke who backs Doncaster.

What are the chances of a good deal of that cash getting spent on new players next season if (when) we're in the CHampionship? Just a few million might get us the 2 decent strikers we need to survive. You know it makes sense SL.....

It's not cash though, it's a valuation of Hargreaves Lansdown. 25% of that is being sold on Tuesday so he will suddenly have a few quid from his 12.5% share so who knows? That's the kind of money that could actually sort out Brooker's injury problems. If he shops around that is.

that is what he is worth, but a very large majority of that is tied up in his company and money he doesn't have to play with at the moment, however he is soon floating his firm on the stock exchange and is selling a small portion of his shareholding, then he will have some serious money to invest, however expect it to be invested on off-the-field purposes mainly such as the training ground and the rebuilding of the east end, there will be some money available though

let's worry about getting up though first
