Bristolian76
Plus we were already up when we played Preston. It was a good day but a poor performance coupled with Watford beating Fulham meant they got the trophyId settle for 2nd on saturday..... Guest
I left Preston that day more gutted that we'd f*ked it up and lost the championship myself. That and the fact that we were totaly toothless up front... hmm that rings a bell
Browner
I'm sure the last game of the season when we last got promoted was at home to Walsall wasn't it. We won 2-1. Tinnion freekick was the winner. Gary Owers also scored a header. When we played Preston at home last game, that was the season they went up and the Gas failed to finished in the play-offs after being top for most of the season.I think this is right. I could be wrong though

Puckle_red
No we lost 2-1 up in Preston when we were promoted, and Sean McCarthey scored a tap in, the keeper missed the ball and he passed into empty net.
Portland Bill
I left Preston that day more gutted that we'd f*ked it up and lost the championship myself.I felt exactly the same that day, plus i missed the first 15 mins due to the slowest and longest police escort ever from Preston city centre.
