fgrsimon Posted May 6, 2007 Report Share Posted May 6, 2007 From a Forest Green Rovers supporter who was once an East End regular.It's been a special season for me and who'd have believed it after 4 games back in August when FGR had lost all four and City 3 out of 4! I've tried to convince myself many times over the last few years that I don't care about City any more but as the season's dragged on I've been more and more sucked in to the promotion battle. This afternoon I was as nervous as anything, so I guess once it's there, you can't get rid of it. I had to go out for a long drive with the radio off until it was all over. Today has brought back so many memories of the 1989-90 season though. I did return to the Gate once this season for the first time in 7 years but it was the Cheltenham game which broke an 18 match unbeaten run so, fearing I was a jinx, I subesequently banned myself from attending any more City games until promotion was secure.
