What A Great Day

Saturday was a great day with the lads playing excellent football, scoring early to calm the nerves and then finishing the game as a contest just before half-time - the 3rd was icing on the cake and allowed the party to really start only marginally calmed by the Rotherham goal, which was completely out of the blue.

The atmosphere was simply superb all afternoon and the celebrations that followed the final whistle will be long remembered- am looking forward to acquiring the DVD- and to framing the EP flag signed by most of the squad. The players deserve the success and clearly made the most of the opportunity to celebrate together and in the Williams bar with the fans who were there and I am sure in the City later. A very approachable group happy to chat and their attitude should stand them in good stead next season.

Thanks to them, GJ and SL for making it possible and to the chap on the bus to Backwell who kindly exchanged £1 for several Singapore dollars to enable me to begin the long journey home and pay the bus fare!!!
