harpernator06
Full StoryI think he would be an ok signing, but i think if GJ really wanted a goal scorer and SL bakced him they could get a better striker. What do you think?

Guest Ron
http://www.football-league.premiumtv.co.uk...~200625,00.htmlHe's not on the leading scorers list, hardly "prolific" in League 1 then.

Did very well in getting Carlisle promoted from L2 and scored bags of goals, did'nt do as well last season and the Championship could be a step too far.Carl Hawley Stats. Bristolian76
With Hawley being available on a free transfer he is an attractive proposition for a number of clubs and Leicester, Plymouth, Stoke, Ipswich, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest are all thought to be monitoring Hawley's situation Good old SkySports hedging their bets by naming half the clubs in England.Surely he'll end up at one of them if we lisrt them all! Guest Eamer
118 games for Carlisle. 47 goals. Not bad but were mostly in Conference/League Two. Championship seems a bit of a jump.
MATT BCFC
I personally think we need more than 1 striker. For a free transfer id say he would be a good signing probably better than what we already have if we signed him and then spent a bit of cash on another striker e.g. varney or mcleod id be happy. MATT BCFC
He scored less goals last season than Phil Jevons In a worse team though and he was injured quite a bit I think
Nibor
He scored less goals last season than Phil Jevons 12 goals in 30 league starts - better than one in three but not outstanding. I'd rather have Hawley up front than any of our current lot other than Brooker but not sure if he'd make the step up.

sirscrumpton
Apparantly he told Carlisle fans at their end of season awards that he's off to PNE.
