'and Another Thing' (fourfourtwo Magazine)

FourFourTwo

Recommended Posts

Each month in FourFourTwo we run a feature called 'And Another Thing...' which basically involves fans of four different teams discussing an issue raised by us over a pint, the transcript of which appears in the magazine. For next month's issue, we want to have a discussion featuring western clubs, and as such we would like a Bristol City fan to take part in the discussion, which will take place in a pub, preferably in London (where FourFourTwo HQ is based) at some point over the next couple of weeks. If you are interested, can you please get in touch with us at hitesh.ratna@haymarket.com over the next day or so.

cheers,

FourFourTwo magazine.

ps: mods, this is not spam - we just thought it was easier to contact people via a messageboard than through other means.

Yeovil, Cardiff, Plymouth?

Too right Ron, certainly Rovers wouldn't be invited.

Gasheads are conversationally challenged - hardly surprising when they follow the League's most tedious club - and would no doubt feel compelled to fill every gap in the conversation with sudden outbursts of their obnoxious dirge 'Irene'.

Anyway, does Whaddon Road count as West Country? :dunno:

Plus 442 will want to hear from the big teams in the area; 3 Championship and 1... almost Championship. Rovers don't come even close to that.

We have pubs in the West Country. Why don't you get your lazy London-media-obsessed journos down to the best part of the country?

It's less than two hours on the train (from your part of the world) and you might earn some respect on your way down.

We also have City fans in London, just ask the 60 / 70 of us that turn up in the Sun Tavern for televised city games, or the 90 odd people who went to Leyton Orient for the first round of the LDV last season.

If it was a lazy london media obsessed journo then why the hell is he doing a piece on West Country clubs and not London clubs as you seem to suggest ?

every month 442 has a collection of gimps dressed in replica shirts from different parts of the country swapping anecdotes about supporting their club whilst photographed nursing a pint.

looks like it's our turn

I much prefer a (half) decent magazine "When Saturday Comes".

Agreed, WSC is the only one I get. Not a big fan of glossy football magazines as a rule - they have far too many player interviews and footballers (almost) never have anything interesting or even vaguely controversial to say ("I think we can win the league this year....Thierry Henry's a great player zzzzzzzz").

I don't deny there are lots of City fans in London and good luck to you. But this guy wants to talk to fans from the West Country and won't even get beyond Brentford. Imagine if he was doing an article on schools in the West Country and asked for 4 teachers to go to London to meet up.

It beggars belief.
