Admin Maesknoll Red Posted July 12, 2007 Admin Report Share Posted July 12, 2007 Roy Keane was interviewed on R5 a couple of nights ago, he was putting across the difficulties in getting the right players in the transfer window, it seemed like a very similar situation to our own, but obviously a step up.This article is a brief resume of the comments he made, especially about getting the right players and not making a big headline signing, who turns out to upset the balance.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtm...1/sfnsun111.xmlPerhaps Keano and Gary Johnson have similar management thoughts and styles? I think he got a new 405 out of it, Peugeot was the sponsor back then, so not all bad.Steve Coppell at it aswell, must be an x manc thing, i blame the oligards like that **** in charge of Chelsea and his little whore Kenyon.http://icberkshire.icnetwork.co.uk/0200spo...-name_page.htmlalso mentions that the Skuse move was bs, which we knew anyways. Agents will be touting their clients around, the decent agents looking to place them in clubs that give them a good wage and career development, the not so good agents, will be looking at which deal makes their own pay day the lucrative option.I don't envy GJ the task of identifying the players he wants, then having to persaude them, then their agents and representatives, that City will be the right move for them, the players who are likely to attract interest from the Championship clubs, could see themselves with a move to Prenier club, if they wait long enough and the Premier clubs are struggling to get their intended targets. Hardly surprising that a lot of movement doesn't take place until the season is right upon us, I assume that some of the transfers that have gone through already, were done deals before the06/07 season ended.
