Keep the Faith
Is anyone else surprised by the news that Mickey Adams has been appointed Assistant Manager by Colchester? An experienced manager at this level it seems strange that he would have been willing to take an assistant job at a club far less glamorous than ones he has recently managed including Coventry. Geoff65
Seems a bit strange but then he did leave Coventry as a failure. Harsh, but ask Cov fans and I guess that would be their assessment. We don't know why he took the job - is it so he's the natural replacement if their manager goes? - is it a favour to the manager to keep things ticking over until a manager's job becomes available?I respect his managerial abilities and hope someone takes a chance on him again - he's definitely worth another go - problem is though it will be league 1 or league 2 who will be offering the oppertunities. Redhyde
Colchester have gone mad, absolutely stark raving mad. They're actively preparing to fail this season, sack the manager and replace him, by not even giving him a chance with the signings or trying to keep their best players. To be fair, they can't sustain this level of football but geez this is harsh.Of course they're just looking to add experience to the backroom staff...
