Tinman

I was just wondering tonight how close Tinman is getting to Atyeo's Appearance record.

I believe John made 597 appearances for City during his career, and it occurred to me that Brian must now be around 500 or thereabouts.

Is he going to break big John's record?

Can someone post Tinmans exact number of appearances to date?

400?!?

That game was his 500th

Tins was on 510 after Stockport away. However, John Atyeo notched far more than 597. Try 645!

Tins is in 3rd place as Trevor Tainton played 581.

it would take around another 2 seasons to beat the record

it could be done if tinns stays fit? who knows

(big johns record is 597 league appearances not counting cup games etc)

Thanks for the info.

I didn't realise it was available at my fingertips (mouse-button?!?) at the official site.

Just been looking at it... certainly puts my all-time hero John Atyeo's achievements into perspective... a massive 351 goals in 645 appearances - averaging better than a goal every other game for FIFTEEN YEARS... astounding.

We could've done with him up front this season

Yeah - he could partner Peacock upfront

Problem is that after 60 mins he'd be subbed off for Lita

Don't argue with me, argue with the official site...

Record Appearances

OK then, because the book it is based on made the same mistakes:

1) The records shown for Ivor Guy, Cyril Williams and Jack Bailey have omitted their 8 FA Cup appearances in 1945/46.

2) Ernie Peacock's FA Cup appearance in 1952/53 is also missing.

Also (not from book):

3) "Terry" Cook's record is remarkably similar to that of former keeper Tony Cook's!

All-time appearances without minor competitions (BCL!)
