prankerd
Steven Naismith has handed in a transfer request to Kilmarnock after Rangers had a series of offers rejected for the 20-year-old Scotland striker. But Killie chairman Michael Johnston told BBC Sport: "As far as I am concerned, this changes nothing. It just makes his desire to leave public. "To be honest, I am not sure what will be achieved by him doing this. "We have told Steven we will not stand in his way, but we must receive the valuation we feel we deserve." Naismith and his agent, Andrew McCormick, met Johnston for showdown talks on Thursday. The 20-year-old has become increasingly frustrated at the way Kilmarnock have handled the proposed transfer, BBC Sport understands. Rangers withdrew their latest, £1.5m offer for the striker after the two Scottish Premier League clubs failed to reach agreement. Kilmarnock are looking for a fee of greater than £1.5m once add-ons for appearances and Scotland appearances are taken into consideration. Celtic expressed an interest in Naismith, who has three years left of his contract, earlier this summer but have not yet put in an offer. Bristol City held discussions with the Rugby Park club but failed to meet Killie's demands. BBC Sport this week disclosed that Hearts and Hibernian have also both been in touch with Johnston in the last few days.

bristoljames
Now we've got our sights firmly on Trundle, we're not going to fork out £2.5 million on 2 players. If we did however, us City fans will be recovering from heart attacks!!!!! Matty H
He wants a transfer because he wants to go to Rangers and he's fed up with his club constantly rejecting their advances. If we have bought Trundle then any further signings will be of the 'Promising young-un' type

prankerd
rangers wont fork it out if we at least fork out the demands then we will at least get to speak to him, we must try, id prefer to pay 1.5-2 mil on him than trundle, at least if we sell him again we will make a handsome profit its a win win situation

Trundle nearing retirement 31 in October, only a couple of seasons at most left.
