MarcusX
I understood it that he was free but we had to pay compensation due to his age, so wouldnt have thought it would be that much.
Southport Red
No idea what fee was involved but I did read his contract was either up or very very close to being up so I'm with MarcusX on this one, free or very little.
red as fcuk
His contract was up, but as he is under 24, Millwall were entitled to compensation. It could've gone to tribunal, but City and Millwall agreed a fee. There is no way it would be anything like £1m imo. Nibor
It would have been barely £100k is my guess. Compensation isn't based on value.
tin
He was out of contract so we will pay a compensation fee set by tribunal unless they can settle it between themselves. Normally, they order a small initial fee with add-ons so I'd imagine it'd be in the region of £100k with little bits and bobs added on.
Bristol Boy
Just goes to show what total b00ll0x that site is. Closer to a tenth of that as the lad was out of contract and the move would have been settled by a tribunal had they not agreed a fee with us. I remember Hutchings debut against Oxford, he was awesome that day, box to box, tackilng, attacking, here, there, every f##ck1n where, walked away thinking what a fantastic signing. Man I was so wrong, one of the most useless players I have ever seen in a City shirt.
Andy Horsman
Millwall, it has been reported, wanted the fee to be undisclosed which suggests they accepted a small amount from City for Marvin, and did not want that publically known, as it might cause unrest among their support.£50-£100k seems near the mark.
