Points Mean Prizes

I have been thinking about the number of points we will need to avoid dropping straight back to FL1.

55 pts (1.20 pts per match) should keep us up.

For example that could be 14 wins, 13 draws and 19 defeats.

GJ talks about setting targets in blocks of 10 matches, so in my mind averaging 12 pts per block of 10 will leave us on 48 pts, with 6 matches left to play in which to pick up 7 more pts.

Having studied the fixture list in terms of blocks of 10, I feel quietly confident that we can achieve the above pts average. The last six matches, however, will against the following:

Norwich (H), Southampton (A), Wolves (H), Stoke (A), Sheff U (A) & Preston (H)

We could be in for a real nail biting end to the campaign!
