It's got pace and width. Lita can score. Playing defenders on the left wing doesn't make you secure defensively and we aren't. DW's clutching at straws with his excuses for why it went wrong today. Either one of Marvin or Murray go to the by-line and put in some crosses or cut inside and cause havoc. A very attacking team I will admit but this could rip QPR's defence into shreads. That could be said for the past 6 games. Look where it has got us, we look lethargic in all of our play in the 4-4-2 system and the current players playing in it. Something needs to change, playing the same team that has been basically playing the last 6 games would be a disaster and could break our season. If we were ever to take a gamble it is now, boom or bust we need to try something different because with the team you are playing it is hard to see where a goal is going to come through. Make no doubt about it QPR will score no matter what team we put out so we need to go for it HARD! I would like to see the most attacking team out there yet this season, smash all of Hollowhead's pre-match plans and tear up the QPR defence. People want to see excitement I say lets give it to them! Godzilla Posted March 28, 2004 Report Share Posted March 28, 2004 Phillips Carey - Coles - Hill Murray - Wilkshire - Tinnion - Doherty - Bell Rougier - Miller The 3-5-2 system with wingbacks worked well last season. Not sure if Bell has the engine to get up and down for 90 minutes, but that's what subs are for, and the system can be changed if needs be. I can't really leave any of the midfield out. We need Doherty's battling and I want to see how Wilkshire and Murray will play together at home. Plus our midfield is too deep with Tinnion and Doherty both holding midfielders. You mean like Saturday when both goals were down to Carey and Murray didn't perform or get any support? With 4-4-2 we've conceeded 9 in 7 and only scored 3. Pacey wings with Murray and Goodfellow will frighten the opposition to death and get them all mixed up and worried. Tins in the middle to spread the ball out and get those vital inch perfect passes in. Doherty the rock in midfield plays as a defensive midfielder and attacking midfielder every game and i think thats fantastic.
