Dw Tactics & Substitutions

:D

Let me see if I've got it!

Right, Tinnion plays wide against Oldham, has a mare, so Wilkshire is taken off when we're 2-0 down and a left back (MB) comes on and he can't play left wing either, whilst Tinman isn't great in the centre, that day.

Bell's dropped and Tinman (after saying he can't play there) gets put on the wing again!!

Oldham, who outplayed us, are so good, they lose 3-2 at home...........to bottom club Wycombe

Then, Tinman has a mare (not on his own) playing wide at Vale and............off goes poor old Wilkshire again, on comes another left back, Woodman and he can't play wide in a 4-4-2, because he's a full back, mind you, Goodfellows a left winger and he doesn't get on....at all.

Must feel as good as SL, who DW persuaded to part with £100k for him when we had Woodman, who could play there all along

I know he was originally signed as a right winger, but he's a left winger as DW found out.

STILL WITH ME??

Meanwhile, we pay £365k for Miller and........move Butler, who had a mare at centre half, where he's played all of his career, to centre forward.........whilst leaving the afore mentioned Miller- a specialist centre forward, on the bench

when 2-0 & 2-1 down.

What must MG & LM think or Rougier, who was playing better at the point he was replaced by Roberts who has one goal all season?

These are right up there with Carey in midfield at home and away at Stoke.

Reminds me of the Armys assesment of an Officer:

"His men would follow him anywhere.......but only out of morbid curiosity!!"

I totally agree with your argument. Wilson is one lucky fella to hold down jobs in this industry on the wages he gets.

But it makes the players efforts to get into 3rd place all the more commendable. They are there despite the ineffectual management and total absence of tactical acumen.

Which is why I say, get behind the players for the final push. Leave Wilson out of it until the end of the season, it just distracts everyone, demotivates, and generally frustrates everyone. Ignore him for a while.

If the players can just hang on for a few more games and get a few points here and there, we will be in the playoffs at least. And that can't be bad.

Things can be sorted at the end of the season.

That is a good point Cynic. Lets support the players who have got us there, put wheather you rate a player behind you, if you don't like robbo for whatever reason and he starts against qpr then support him, just as i will if Peacock starts.

All of us in the EE and the rest of us lets get behind the players, sod willson, support the players.

If people want to criticise, and we will, leave it on here. Come 3 pm on saturday lets all get behind the players and see if WE can do what willson can't and motivate them with a wall of noise. If Willson can't do his bloody job then we will have to try to do it for him.

Not everyone will sing from the start, as Osman said on radio Bristol it is the players that will get the fans going and thats how it should be, and once the fans get going then that can sustain the players. it does work the other way around as well, but if those of us that do sing can do enough to lift the players a bit and get the rest of the fans going then we can beat QPR.

 Totally agree with you!!

It's mind boggling to say the least the way Wilson plays the team, and makes stupid substitutions.

And again we we beaten when high balls were played, and now Wilson is ranting about their ( Port Vale's) first goal being offside!!.

Well Danny boy!, What about the two shots of theirs what hit the post!!

Could of been 4-0 to the Vale yesterday!! :@

I agree with the thrust of your argument, however, I'm starting to have genuine worries about making the play offs, or our ability to score two goals in a game and win it.

It's only the fact that this is the worst Div 2 for years that has kept us in touch.

I genuinely believe that there isn't a good team in the whole Division.

On the manager front, Plymouth don't see to be missing Sturrock much and a new guy or Fawthrop/Taylor, could just give us the short term impetus to succeed.

Auto is still highly possible, however, the manner of our performances, not just the results, make it a million miles away.

I think our fans have been incredibly patient, not just this season but over the last 5/6.

There has been some vocal dissent, Christ, I've watched Man Utd at Old Trafford and you wouldn't believe the stick Giggs and the Nevilles get.

I don't boo, but I do voice my opinions when I see lack of effort, thought or skill.

These guys are pros and must earn the right to wear OUR shirt.

Praise & Criticism come with the territory.

I agree, i think we have been very patient. However as it stands nothing will change unless it happens before the QPR game, which i highly doubt. We are stuck with mr tactics until the end of the season, so we might as well support the 11 players he puts on the pitch, knowing that some of them will be playing out of position.

I was in no way criticising the fans that turn up week in week out, but if those of us that do can lift the players a bit, and get the other fans that don't come every week going then mabye we can be the 12th man that we can be and have been a lot this season.

My point was really sod Willson support the players, yes many of them are underperforming but it is not thier fault that they get picked irrespective of form.

I voice my oppinions too, and a lack of effort is one thing i will not tolerate, they can play badly and try and i will still support them, but no effort means me voicing my oppinion.

But is there any point to this now, we are stuck with what we have we can't change it now, so we might as well just when it comes to saturday just think sod it all and just sing our hearts out, and if the players still don't bother, any who don't can sod off.
