WhistleHappy Posted August 27, 2007 Report Share Posted August 27, 2007 This Week-Saturday - Clocked up our first Championship 3points win - undefeated in 3.Anyday soon - Johnson set to sign contract extension.Wednesday - Man City cup game live on TV .... -as long as the performance & spirit is OK even a defeat is acceptable (few people expect anything more) a Win or Draw would be an incredible confidence boost, but heads wouldn't drop if we were to lose to top class Premiership opposition after putting on a decent show.Saturday - Sheff Weds away on live TV. (they play Hartlepool Tues in cup -expected to win, so no massive boost if they do anything less will be a massive kick to their already rock bottom confidence after worst possible start to new campaign.)In any event they will be under extreme pressure come Saturday when they have to face City, nerves will be jangling, everyone afraid to make a mistake etc.. etc.. home pressure, tense possibly hostile/negative crowd.. pi$$ed off manager in Laws who hasnt attracted the signings he needs... Contrast their situation with ours, everyone happy, squad in good shape, confidence couldn't be better, an away draw would be welcome but an away win, under the circumstances, is far from an impossibility... -if they don't win theyre in deep shyte -if we don't so be it,... all the pressures on them!This could be a great week for us, -little in terms of over expectations, good chance to surprise a few people & it will all be there on Live TV for the nation to see... Two Good Performances & our confidence will be intact, even defeats cant hurt too much, whereas any Win or Draw will have us buzzing! Come On You Reds!!!
