Just because you've got your old username back doesn't mean you have to revert to your old trolling habits you know.

I think GJ has a tough dec with the goalkeepers because both in my opinion are worthy of a place..Basso did really well last season and commanded the defense well in the last few games but looks a tat dodgy at handling, Weal on the other hand looks alot more cslmer in situations and his kicking is really good.. I don't really mid who is in goal as Basso and Weal rarley make mistakes so were in a good position really.

If weale is dropped on the weekend it would be telling him that when u come in it doesnt matter how good you are your never goin to keep the jersey there for he is goin to have no commitment to the club. Ive waited for the day weale to get his chance because i feel he is a better all round goalkeeper.

Basso for me, Wheale has not done enough, weak punch led to last weekends goal against, I also think Basso would have stopped the first goal last night - no one could of saved the second thou.

there you have it, opinions hiy!!

I agree

Umm, I think wheale has done a fine job so far?

AGREE WHEALE HAS DONE A FINE JOB. WOULD HAVE LOST AT BLACKPOOL!

PLAYED WELL EVERY GAME. WELL DONE GJ.

Nothing against Basso, his chance well return.

definitely, basso very rarely lets city down! weale could have had the first goal last night, it was straight over his head. maybe even Basso would have got the 2nd. The goal is 8 foot wide, basso must be at least 6 foot, he has lightning fast reactions, could have got it.

The goal is 8 yards wide actually. It's 8 foot high though...

bang goes my theory, still think Basso could have got it though

If Weale was responsible for Scunny's goal then what about Basso's role in giving away the first QPR goal that led to his injury the other week? :dunno: That was a much more culprable error than anything Weale did on Saturday, and it cost us two points!

As for Basso stopping Mpenza's strike, I severely doubt it! Weale could've done anything to prevent either of those two goals last night, let alone say Basso would've done better. The fact he got an arm to Mpenza's shot last night was a bloody good effort and, nine times out of ten, that would've been enough to divert it over the bar if it weren't for the sheer velocity of it!

Let us remember Weale has been out for a hell of a long time!!! He's bound to be slightly rusty, all this weak punching etc will iron itself out.

I love Basso, but I have always wanted Weale as number 1, at least to see if he is as good as his reputation.

GJ stated that he might be good enough for England didn't he?!!!!

Neither keeper were at fault for those goals, weale's "mistake" came at him at a bad angle and he did well to punch away, 2 of our defenders were taken out during the goal so he was left unprotected. with Basso, he was left totally helpless after vasko failed to deal with a long punt, and was beaten to the ball by blackstock because of his pace.

Weale was fouled in the run up to S****horpe's goal as was Fontaine (I think) hauled to the ground by the player who scored it. Blaming that on Weale is completely wrong.

Weale earned us a point we didn't deserve at Blackpool. He hasn't put a foot wrong and he's look assured. Basso wouldn't have saved either goal last night IMO, the first was hit like a rocket and the second was the fault of the defence giving a world class striker time to pick his spot.

Yep, Weale was clattered as he came to punch the initial cross and then Carey was dragged to the ground by the eventual goalscorer Paterson.

One thing we need to remeber this is Wheale's longest run in goal since his move to City, of course somethings he does are bound to be rusty. He's only played three games in which we have won 1, drawn 1 and lost to a prem team. Remember when Basso 1st came in he had a few dodgy games. We should count our selves lucky we have two Championship class keepers.

3 IMO. Henderson is more than capable cover.

Very good point forgot about Henderson. He did really well against QPR.

I'll re-do my statment then ' Where very lucky to have three Championship class Keepers'.

Weale has won his spot the same as any other player. GJ always says everyone gets his chance eventually.

Weale has got good credentials and GJ predicted he would one day play in the Prem.

It will now test the attitude of Basso, will he do a Philips and spit his dummy

Time will tell

He's only watched one game this season, when it was on sky.

Ive actually been to every game this season you moron including Brentford on a tuesday night! Where werre you? Sat at home with teletext on? Its just my opinion and you will see in time. He will blunder. So please in future don't insinuate what people do. Some of us who can afford the luxury of sky plus can rewatch the game when we get home.

Alas I can't take the credit! But when it was mentioned to me it became clear!

How do you know he lives in Chingford - does he have another id....Chingfordred is it !?!??

And by the way CHL - you cant say to someone don't throw insults after YOU called them a moron...??!

All this because we don't agree that Adriano 'Jesus and CHL loves me' Basso should start in goal ehhh??

I think its always going to be an issue when you've got two number one keepers. Would one have saved that, would the other have made that mistake? For Example, would Weale have not rushed out to try and nick the ball away from Blackstock in the opening game and stopped the goal? Would Basso have stopped Mpenza's strike? Who knows is the answer.

Its no use chopping and changing, obviously GJ has made his mind up that over all the time Basso has been number one and comparing the errors with all the time he's had Weale between the sticks that Chris is the better option long term.

Unless CW makes numerous howlers (which i don't think he will) he's number one for the foreseeable.

You don't understand personal insults....so why ask someone not to be insulting...and then Insult them by calling them a moron...?

Yes its a fans forum and as I always say everyone has their own opinion, you have to respect that, something you don't seem capable of doing.

ChingfordReds internet guide to trolling. From the company that brought you "Your first 1000 words in L33T" and "insulting people on the internet for dummies, dummy."

I love people who announce they're going to leave. They're just desperate to get the "please don't go" PMs.

Back on topic, while's i'm sick of the "why isn't X or Y player playing" threads already this season the only cause for concern are players who throw their toys out of the pram or have awful agents as potentially Keogh has or those who get dropped for no apparent reason. Weale i thought had taken his chance when Basso got injured. If he did too he may just go. In a way it's lucky for us that he's had the injuries. There's perhaps too much risk in him moving on when he's got it relatively safe here.
