Bristol Boy Posted September 11, 2007 Report Share Posted September 11, 2007 Just a touch concerned that with Russell & Artus out on loan and Noble not yet fully fit, we've only got three central midfielders available.........and guess who went off injured playing for the Resvs tonight?Cole Skuse.Hope he's OK, because I don't think we can recall AR from loan until he's done a month. Geoff65 Posted September 12, 2007 Report Share Posted September 12, 2007 Does Brian Wilson have the qualities to cover midfield?Other than Brian Wilson I cant think of any other midfielders who could do the job, Betsy Sproule Murray McIndoe all seem to be specialist wingers. Of the defenders Carey would look to be the best candidate and with Vasko Fontaine and McCombe we have enough for central defense. Of course if GJ doesnt fancy any of them then Artus is on a 24 hr recall now that he's on a second month loan period.Totally unrelated but I didnt have access to the site (Thanks to isp provider) did Ashtonyate get booted?Cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Shouldn't be too bad.Russell was at the game last night. I reckon he'll be back playing for us pretty soon. Played a big part last season and deserves his chance.Noble didn't look too good last night either. Thought he would've pushed himself a bit harder to try getting into the starting line-up soon. Most people thought midfield fine need noone sign elliott and everyone saying definately needed Midfielder. Still think one short another elliott/skuse type player and i think squad will be alright.Artus not quite ready yet leaves 5 with rusell on loan noble struggling skuse carrying knock only have 2 now like you say. Worked before!Edit - forgot the actual point i was going to make.4+Artus looked good pre season. 5+ Artus looks good now.It's unlucky to have two injuries in a position but having more than 5 players for two positions isn't viable if they're all fit. They're currently not but you can't have infinite player just in case. 5 + a youngun is enough in all but the most ridiculous scenario.
