OC 1645
...no I don't want us be associated with Scottish born plutocratic lowlife such as Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. ...but as soon as Bristol born Captain Woodes Rogers picked up marooned Scottish born Alexander Selkirk off the coast of Chile - the inspiration for the Robinson Crusoe novels - there was a Bristol and Scotland winning combination. In the 1970's BCFC had Bristol born players mixed with Scottish born players such as Gerry Gow, Gerry Sweeney and Donnie Gillies. Now we have the likes of Bristol born Louis Carey mixed with Scottish born Michael McIndoe and Jamie McAllister - surely a winning combination to turn over Proud Preston today.
