No Pressure

Recommended Posts

For the last 10 years in League One every season has started with us under pressure from the start because :-

1 Bookies always make the "big clubs" favourites to start with. In League One terms we were.

2 Us fans hated being there

3 The Board couldn't finance the Club on League One income

4 So many near misses

This season not one of us really expects us to go up , no one made us favourites and the Directors have got lots more dosh to play with.

All adds up to No Pressure on the players , other than to compete as well as they can and enjoy their football.

When you listen to the Sheffield clubs ,QPR , Palace , Charlton etc etc don't you think that the fact our players arn't under that level of expectancy/pressure is part of the reason we are doing so well ?

Just a thought , if you agree stop posting about promotion , pour a beer/cider , sit back , relax and enjoy the ride

:fingerscrossed:

Yeah man, mentle strain is a massive hinderence on achievement.

I'm off swimming in a mo, interestingly, the harder you splash the slower you go.

That's the spirit blud:

pour a beer/cider , sit back , relax and enjoy the ride

Peace out an over.

OK, but one question...

Do you think that when we get promoted to the Premiership this season we could really go for a Champions League place next year????

Other teams :noexpression: I`m not to bothered what our own team is doing, :surrender: although nice to win and be successfull, what will be will be, enjoy the moment/day/game, the end.

Life`s way to short to get stressed out over a game of footie; Bill Shankly`s famous comments along the lines of; "some people think footies a matter of life or death, I can assure you its more important than that" :disapointed2se: is way wide of the mark.

So although important our teams progress is not that important.
