Big Goals = Big Points

There's one way to eke out a win from a tight game, and that is to score a 'special' goal.

No matter how well the opposition are operating, they can't be expected to snuff out those exceptional moments of footballing inspiration.

It seems that we've climbed the table this way:

Sproule v Soton (great run, great finish)

Trundle v S****horpe (lovely strike x2)

.........& v Norwich (surge, skill, finish)

Wilson v Sheff Wed (clinical strike, bottom corner)

Elliott v Stoke (launched top bag)

Any more...?

Do we score enough scrambled tap-ins?

Do all teams score pearls with such regularity or is that why we're 2nd?

I was only thinking this myself this weekend...The quality of our goals has been outstanding and a testiment to our overall play over the 13 games and please add a great strike by Murray into the hat as above. Clearly the manager is encouraging players to express themselves and play without fear (possibly the sports Psychologist guy spoken about in another thread earlier today earns a lot of credit here)

As far as scrambled tap ins, we have had a few of those too and your always likely to get those when shooting and hitting the target...and pressurizing the ball and goalkeeper as well as we do when its in the box.

As far as other teams and pearls...Arsenal/ManU and Liverpool get their fare share so I guess quality play begets (is this a word?) quality goals...Keep the Faith :chant6ez:

A great post mozo, I just can't wait to buy the BCFC 2007/08 highlights DVD and play all those afore mentioned goals over and over again. :icecream: I'm sure there will be more very 'special' goals to come as well. :clapping:
