Just to add a little more intrigue to the stadium rumours, the new arena planned for Temple meads has been delayed because of dissagreements among the relevant parties, it was reported in the Bristol news that it could now be built in Ashton.(this is about 6 weeks old but from the councils own paper)so you could have a stadium,arena,park and ride for the airport,link rd,train station,conference facilities,training ground and 10,000 houses all in 200 acres, wow, all we need is a premiership team to go with it.

the mentioned 200 acres, isn't the Ashton Land, it's another land purchase that SL is on the verge of completing at the moment

god knows, haven't looked into the arena stuff for a bit, last thing I remember though was few months back, from what I recall, everything is almost in place, biggest problem has been finding the addition funding the council hadn't planned for to cover the increased transportation infrastructure that needs to be in place prior to the arena starting work.
