WesM Posted November 24, 2007 Report Share Posted November 24, 2007 Not content with stoving in the skull of Petr Cech last season, Stephen Hunt tries to amputate Gelson Fernandes' right leg.Knee high, sliding in, later than British Rail.It's one of those challenges you wince at everytime you see it and Fernandes was lucky his leg was still attached to his body, nevermind able to walk away.No further action cos the ref saw him and booked him for it.........disgrace. File alongside Michael Brown, Alan Smith, Savage etcHe was guilty of one last week against Wales as well, leaving his studs in on the full back. Totally ignored by the commentators, who instead went on about the "effort he puts into his game". The fact that this type of "effort" is praised demonstrates exactly why the Home Nations & Ireland aren't at Euro 2008. People would rather see the likes of him steaming round like a headless chicken than skilful players who can create things if given time & space to do so.In fact the more I see of him, the more I am convinced he deliberately "did" Cech last year.
