A reminder for those of you who have already finished early for Christmas or maybe have a day off or even the opportunity to get away from work early tomorrow. The Best of the West continues tomorrow afternoon at Home Park KO 2pm Admission £4 Concessions £2. I will be there watching another strong lineup again or even the second first team with the likes of Russell,Betsy,Murray,Skuse to name a few and of course Brooker.

...should be just about full time any minute now - hope Brooks has continued his comeback in style & unscathed..

(ps- wheres Sarah B disappeared to lately during her heroes hour of need?)

I think she's probably taken the hint or maybe continued to live in the dreamworld and having that relationship she wanted with him (albeit just in her head)

To be honest chaps this was an awful game. Chadwick looked pathetic, seb kept falling over and wotts was at least 2 yards off the pace. Doumbe couldn't pass if his life depended on it. The only ones that came out with any merit were laird, connolly and summerfield. No one challenging for a first team recall that's for sure. By the way we lost 1-0 some big blad bloke headed in a cross in last 5 mins.

I assume the big bald bloke was Brooks!

...if that description doesn't bring Sarah B outta the woodwork I'd be amazed - not only is Brooks a bald (or as Sarah probably see's it -a bloke with an extremely large centre parting) - he's also a blad now according to this Plymouth fan.. :)

Seriously though its good to see Stevie B making such good progress - could be the equivalent of a major new signing for us in the New Year, a boost for the squad at just the right time.

Anyone know who the other trialist was?

Seems like Gary is after a midfielder??

Just got back from the game and the other trialist was a central midfielder by the name of Fred Zendy. It was a good run out for all concerned not a massive amount to shout about could have been won by either side with city edging it just due to probally having a bit more pocession and creativity. Both clubs fielding strong line ups.

City

Weale dealt with what he needed to a couple of good saves and one punch.

Wilson at right back got forward at every opportunity and was always looking for the ball.

McAllister very dependable as always solid game.

Skuse at centre half contolled the back line plenty of talking. kept Ebanks Blake under control restricting him to very little.

Reilly (trialist)centre half, had a good game but unsure why we need another centre half.

Russell as always ran most of the show from the middle of the park.

Zendy (trialist) didn't really get into the game and show enough will need to do more.

Betsy right wing nothing to shout home about.

Murray left wing got forward plenty and had a steady game.

Noble played up front more rather than in the holding position and had one or two half chances.

Brooker plenty of twisting and turning getting back to his old self gradually get full match fitness.

Argyle

McCormick,Connolly,Laird,Kouo-Doumbe,White,Chadwick,Smith,Summerfield,Ebanks-Blake,Wotton & Fallon.

Yes that's the name on the team sheet was given and city players were calling him Zendy when asking for the ball.

The other trialists name is spelt wrong on the site/your report so there's no reason this one would be correct.

What colour was he? That'd help with my digging.

Also rough guess at age?

The two trialists today named on the team sheet were no.4 Martin Reilly centre half fom Wolves and no.10 Fred Zendy midfielder (dark skinned with black gelled hair) age difficult but at a guess early to mid twenties.

"Fred Zendy" was (according to today's Western Morning News) Ferydoon Zandi, an Iranian international midfielder. Played at the World Cup finals last year.
