The former Northern Ireland midfielder is now expected to complete a permanent move to Wycombe, where he has impressed during two spells on loan. Doherty moved to QPR from Bristol City in 2005 but quickly fell out of favour at Loftus Road. He is one of a number of players to have been told he has no future at Rangers.
