Guest rossitl
Its ok mate I dont know either They had it at the Port Vale game - it looked a little childish. Incidently one of the men wearing these gloves also wore a balaclava. My kids were quite scared about this as they thought he may have come over to kill them!!!!! It also doesnt give us a very good reputation does it?

City Exile
I think it comes from the 'yellow subbers' who have suggested this would be quite fun. Entirely harmless school boy humour, that I am entirely in favour of! Take the point about balaclavas however. Could be perceieved as threathening, but I am sure not the intention. Any posts I have read from this lot seem to be a bit mentalist, but entirely non threatening and good humoured.
wonkyone
I think the yellow subbers et al must all be at lunch. They are having a laugh Someone said it dated back to a time when someone "liberated" some marrigolds on a visit to swinedon. Its not meant to upset anyone - just bemuse I think. Lordofthebling
just a bunch of lads up for a laugh and all of them that i have seen, met or spoken to on here are quality... Its just schoolboy fun, trying to get the away supporters asking "Wtf!" Thats all i think, but it comes from the yellow subbers, who travel to games in their Kylie mascotted yellow sub.. fair play boys! I reckon its well funny! myol'man
Oringinally came from a trip to Filbert Street, Leicester City about 14 years ago . On the Friday night after the Rushden match, after several pints of Mr. Thatchers finest in the Wedlocks i suggested a rerun of the above. Fellow subber Malaggro posted idea the next day, and it just took off from there! Estimates of up to 500 yellow marigolds on the Stratton Bank this Saturday! It also doesnt give us a very good reputation does it? you are going way over the top there i think balaclava, thought he may have come over to kill them you should worry more about the burberrys than a balaclava, only one lad had one on. if wearing a balaclava on a cold day at port vale gives the club a bad name then it has become a very sad world don't read to much in to a balaclava it is fun and not intended to harm anyone as for the marigolds if it looked a little childish then if being childish gets a crowd singing and a atmosphere created like in the east end on saturday THEN SO BE IT. tell your kids not to worry the lads won't harm them or anyone else
