The 10 Game System

The Great God Gary tells us to take 10 games at a time. In the first 10 games we got 17 points. In the second 10 games we got 17 points. We have now played nine games more...and got another 17 points. So even a defeat at QPR would see us being consistent throughout the season....getting 1 or 3 points next Saturday would show that the team is actually improving!

Shhh - don't let anyone else on the forum know that! It would spoil their fun!

Agree with all you've said but it wil be these next 10 that will ultimately reveal our destiny leaving a few games at the end to battle out auto or play off .

We need to keep the gap between us and the 7 th place team in the next few weeks and putting pressure on those around us . Teams taking points off of each other will help , exciting times me thinks .

True. In past seasons I have always thought that you need to stay within six points of the top team and when there are six games to go you can work out what is needed to be promoted....we are doing that as well...prefer to look up rather than back at the seventh place...but hey as long as we are "in the mix" that is all that matters at this stage.

This is possibly the easiest block of 10 we will have this season in terms of fixtures on paper, but we will have suffered without Carey for half of them come the end.

We're already "in credit" in that we have a game in which to improve on previous blocks of 10, and there is probably no better time to be playing QPR what with them completely unsettling their entire squad as they try to buy their way out of relegation.

The next block of 10 looks quite tough with a few crunch games.

February

Sat 9 H Sheffield Wed

Tue 12 A S****horpe

Mon 18 H Crystal Palace

Sat 23 A Colchester

March

Sat 1 H Hull City

Tue 4 A Charlton

Sat 8 A Leicester City

Tue 11 H Watford

Sat 15 H Plymouth

Sat 22 A Cardiff City

However, we will be strengthened by the addition of Nick Carle and hopefully the return of Carey and Brooker and maybe another signing or two up front. I wouldn't bet against us winning 4 of those home games, and getting a result or two on the road.

I don't like our away games in April!

One of the most sensible posts iv seen on the forum in the last week.

We really need to try and get a point at QPR i think.
