double-trouble Posted January 29, 2008 Report Share Posted January 29, 2008 Three women and three men are travelling by train to the City versus Palace game from Temple Meads .At the station , the three men each buy a ticket and eyeing up the women , watch as they just buy the one ticket for the three of them .One of the men asks them 'How are the three of you going to travel to the game with just one ticket ' ?'Watch and learn ' one of the women replies .They all board the train and the three men take their respective seats .The women walk up the aisle and cram into the toilet and manage to close the door behind them .As the train nears Bath Spa the conductor checks the mens tickets and gets to the toilet door where he knocks and says 'Tickets please'.The door opens just slightly and a hand squeezes through the crack holding a ticket.The conductor checks the ticket , says thankyou and hands the ticket back , upon the hand squeezes back through the door .The men see this and agree that its a great idea that could save them money on their return journey .City lose at Palace and they all get back to Paddington where one man approaches the ticket counter and buys just one ticket for the three men .To their astonishment the women don't buy a ticket and just board the train in front of them .'What will you say when the conductor arrives ' said one of the men to the women .'Watch and learn ' one of the women replies .The three men cram into one of the toilets while the women cram into the one opposite .As the train departs on its way and heads for Maidenhead , one of the women leaves her toilet and knocks on the door of the toilet where the men are and says 'Tickets please '.The door opens just slightly and a hand squeezes through the crack holding a ticket .
