We started with two slow centre backs who were up against two fast players in Aygemang and Vine. The moment Fontaine came on we looked solid at the back and Agyemang didn't bother us again. But the first 45 cost us.Also not bringing back Sproule was an error. Carle is not a right winger despite coming into the game more 2nd half and we had zero pace in the side until Sproule came on.McCombe just isn't good enough in this league. He has been shown up in games against WBA, Palace and today amongst others. Even when he could make up for his defensive lapses with chances to score he failed. He had a simple header at 2-0 down which went wide and they went up the other end and scored.We can still make the play-offs this season but we rely on Carey and Fontaine being fit IMO. Squad strength is still not quite right but to be expected in our first season at this level.[/quoteAgree.But the shame for me is I thought Carle got stuck in and looked good but he will never play in his proper position of midfield because Lee Johnson is an untouchableThis obsession of GJ's of never subbing him or leaving him out is hurting the team.Today we needed two in midfield that get stuck in and try and win back some initiative from QPR but we only had one in Marvin Eliott.When Marvin is off his game then the midfield simply does not exist as a force to battle and win back possession.
