Lets hope not, although the Connelly deal fell through for them last night! :noexpression:

On a similar theme, I saw on the Beeb gossip this morning that Ipswich are looking to take Nugent on loan and Coventry are looking to take McSheffrey on loan. Either of these would be a welcome addition to our strike force?

yes I'm on first name terms with SL and his Family and they have told me that a deal to bring Thierry Henry back to england on an 18 month loan is almost completed, with henry stating he is glad to be coming to a club with such unrealistic supporters

we wont sign anyone, certainly not anyone with a good reputation, the only type of player that will be coming in is a young unproven premierleague reserve player

Alex McLeish ended the McSheffrey rumours on transfer deadline day: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_3096889,00.html

Meanwhile, the Lancashire Evening Post are bigging up the possible return of prodigal son Nugent to Preston: http://www.lep.co.uk/sport/Nugent-could-ma...turn.3747449.jp The forward has just recovered from a hernia operation.

And finally, David Healy needs regular first team action for his club, according to Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington: http://www.sportinglife.com/football/inter...TEAMHD=nireland

Whilst I will get shot down for being 3000 miles away I hear you greenun. you have mentioned it a few times. The triangle of carle, dele and Healy would work well.... go for it....
