Philip Belgrave
Ok I'm giving a critique from afar (down under!) but it would seem that Carle is not being played where he's beenmost effective for most of his career i.e. in the central midfield, 'roaming' midfielder or even left midfield - out on the right wing is a bit of a waste and just behind the striker in a 4-4-1-1 formation is not so good either - obviously GJ has got to fit Nick in with other strengths of teamates and get the combinations right, and sometimes this takes time though wouldn't want to see him get frustrated as much as he's very adaptablethink a goal is what Nick (and City) need to spark that extra confidence and step up to the next levelps looks like Nick will be back in Australian squad for the WC qualifier vs China on 26 MarchAnother long range comment. From what I saw of Carle I would agree with the City brains trust and affirm that his best place is certainly in the hole, with Adebola ,an ideal "blunt instrument", up front.
