Comment From One Of The Sunday Paper About City And This Divison

The Championship is a sea of mediocrity. Teams are built around loan signings, hasbeens and never-will-bes. Bristol City, finally succumbing to the strain of overachievement, best capture the overwhelming sense of anonymity. Go on. Name three of their players, without peeking at the line-up elsewhere on these pages.

ok, it's from the mirror, hate to agree, but the bloke has a point, to say this division is WEAK is an understatement.

and from the guardian

No wins and only three points from their last five games is a poor return for a side with Premier League ambitions. With the finishing line rapidly coming into view, only the failings of other clubs are keeping the Robins in the frame for the automatic promotion places.

So how come the division has three representatives in the Semis of the FA cup. The reason no-one knows our players is because of the media obsessed Premier League where football didn't exist before 1992 and players don't exist outside the top 4. By way of contrast, can anyone name three Fulham players, Wigan players, Birmingham - hell, even Man City - thought not!!

Just because no-one is running away with the league does not mean a weak league - that does not make sense. Surely if it wass a weak league then surely at least one club should be able to walk it??
