madmax
With the six games we have left, will we do it or will it be the usual Bristol City play off predicament. Here's what I think.... Norwich (W) 2-1 Southampton (D) 1-1 Wolves (W) 2-1 Stoke (L) 1-3 Sheffield U (L) 1-2 Preston (D) 1-1 That leaves us with just 8 more points for the season, which, I don't think will be enough with WBA and Watford having games in hand. Norwich and Wolves are winnable but the others I feel could be to much. Maybe I could be wrong with Southampton, we could beat them, but a draw is more likely. Stoke and Sheffield U are good teams and with home advantage probably would win. Preston are coming good and a draw is likely at home with the possible added pressure if there is still anything to play for in terms of an auto place. This is my personal prediction and I would love the odd away game I have predicted to be wrong, especially those at Southampton and Sheffield U. DavidNoble
Norwich (W) 2-0 Southampton (W) 2-0 Wolves (W) 2-1 Stoke (W) 1-0 Sheffield U (D) 1-1 Preston - I am not sure about this one, If its a win for automatic promotion then i believe we will win but if theres nothing on it then I'm not sure but i will say (W) 3-

dezgimed
Personally? Because I've seen us lose/lose pathetically in too many 'big' games, or games where the lads should be up for it most. Rovers, Milwall, Swindon, Brighton, Swansea etc. Not even the same squad at times, but I still don't believe they can win away in such important games. Plus the way Stoke play is the worst type of team we could want to play and I'm afraid they will just score a few from skanky set pieces.
Guest
After watching my team for 40 plus years I have learned it is impossible to predict what we will do that said its not inpossible to win or lose the lot, reality will probably be somewhere in between. The outcome of this season could well depend on what others do. At least 3 promo teams have difficult away games for there last games and some still have to play each other; Me well I`m impressed with what has been done already this season; just looking forward to watching from my fav stand next season, whatever league we are in. Guest DanC
If we can win all our remaining home games and pick up a draw or two on the road or even a win then that should see us home as each week the likely required points total is going down and down. cityfan
This was how I saw it and posted it on March 12th. City have come a cropper against both Plymouth and Cardiff so that's not good. Stoke and Watford have had 2 draws each and West Brom have lost on e and drawn two as we know. Didin't include Hull in the predictions below . If we pick up 4 out of 6 from the next 2 I think that will be okay, but we will now definitely need wins in the last 2 and maybe something against Stoke. stortfordred
I HOPE I'M WRONG and can see that I easily could be. It's all so tight! Surely it's tight down to at least 10th place? A repeat of the last six games' points in the next six could well see us missing out on the play-offs. Whatever the results of the forthcoming games, we have still exceeded expectations. The last thing we need is to overhype the end of the season in a way that leaves everyone feeling disappointed. It's been huge fun even if the boys blow up from here on in. No pressure; relax and enjoy.

BCAGFC
NORWICH CITY (H)- WIN Heart says 3 pts, Head says 3 pts- JUST, probably 2-1. Southampton (a)- SCORE DRAW Heart says 3 pts, Head says 1 pt- big following, bad result syndrome, CP, QPR, LC, etc etc. WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (H)- SCORE DRAW Heart says 3 pts, Head says 1 pt- solid defensive display by wolves, ala CP. Stoke City (a)- LOSS Heart says 1 pt, Head says 0 pts- JUST, odd goal, big game flop syndrome ala PA, CC, etc etc. Sheffield United (a)- LOSS Heart says 1 pt, Head says 0 pts- JUST, probably 2-1, see Southampton (a), Sheff Utd are MUCH, MUCH better now. PRESTON NORTH END (H)- WIN Hearts says 3 pts, Head says 3 pts- JUST, probably 2-1, same as Blackpool a couple of years ago (anti-climax). 8 pts from 18, 75 in total, IMO we will miss out on top 2 by around 5 pts and finish 4th, BUT if we start performing and Stevie Brooker starts scoring then we have every chance.... it is a big IF though... Guest greyfriars red
H Norwich City - Can't see why we can't take all 3 points. We gone through a little bad patch. Perfect game to regain some form. A Southampton - If we take all 3 points againts Norwich it will give us some momentum going into this game and I fancy us taking all 3 points in this encounter. We did it the Watord so why not Southampton. H Wolves - Coming off the back of two wins City will fancy themselve to bag another 3 points and I can't any reason why they can't. A Stoke City - 3 straight wins under there belts, confidence is at a high. i Think Johnson would be happy with a point. A Sheffield Utd -unbeaten in 4, Another draw H Preston - Last game of the season, it all hinges on this. I fancy City to take all 3 points. Mission compleated. You may think I'm mad from what I have written above, but I feel that the game against Norwich will have a big say in what happen between now and the end of the season. If we win, Confidence will be at a high and the players will fancy themselves against Southampton. If we draw or lose I think it be the knock out blow and we will struggle to pick points up for the rest of the season. I feel we can do, I trust Johnson and feel he will get the best out of the lads for the remainder of the season. UP THE CITY

Difficult games left for all that are up there and as I said a couple of days ago Blackpool will have a say because I think they are playing 4 in top 7 or 8 ?? Not easy for WBA , Watford or Stoke especially with the form of them and us . What about Hull , they are on a flyer and with their confidence at the moment me thinks they could well do it leaving 1 auto and 1 play off . Come on you reds , its now or never . 3 points on Saturday gets us back on the road .
Guest pedrino7
The next 6 games? City 3 Norwich 1 Southampton 1 City 2 City 2 Wolves 0 Stoke 1 City 1 Sheff Utd 1 City 1 City 3 Preston 1 Table on final day: 1. City 81 2. West Brom 80 3. Stoke 80 4. Watford 79 5. Ipswich 75 6. Hull 74 City due to bounce back as they have all season and go on another unbeaten run. City due to again finally win a couple of games by more than 1 goal. Hull will slip a little just as other teams have. West Brom to join us due to superior goal difference. I personally am glad we have played QPR twice already and can see Hull, Charlton and West Brom slipping up there. I don't think Watford have what it takes to beat Brom, Palace or Hull. Can't see Stoke beating Palace or City. (Pulis is not a premier league manager!!) We must beat Norwich on Saturday (I firmly believe we will) Then I think the key game will be beating Southampton away as that will give us confidence to secure draws v Stoke and the Blades. It will go down to the final game but I BELIEVE we will do it.
downendcity
Have you noticed how the last 6 games are suddnely looking a lot tougher than they did a month or so ago? Norwich scored 5 last week so their confidence will be up, Saints need points to stay out of the relegation zone, Sheff Utd and Preston have both hit form at the wrong time for us, Wolves need points to stay in with a chance of a play off place and Stoke are in the same boat as us. While our bubble might not have burst, it's definitely got a slow puncture and that being the case common sense says that we will struggle to get 8 or 9 more points, which would not be enough. However, looking at this season when did common sense have anything to do with Bristol City's perfromance? Does this team known the meaning of easy- I don't think so? We lost at home to Leicester and Charlton and got thumped at Ipswich so who would have then given us a cat in hells chance at the then runaway leaders Watford? We all know that team spirit has been a major factor this season and perhaps it comes to the fore when the chips are down and the chips are defintely down now. Gary, now is the chance to put the "conference manager" tag to bed, once and for all. There are a few rival clubs whose players are, man for man, better than us, but there is no other team better than the team at Bristol City. You and the players are on the verge of what might be just a once in a lifetime opportunity to crown what has already been a memorable season with a promotion that most of us fans never dreamed would be remotely possible last summer. If you can instill every ounce of confidence, inner believe and bloody mindedness into your players, so that they are prepared to put everything on the line for the club in the coming weeks, then the prize is there for the taking. I am certain that every fan is 100% behind the team and players, and "negative" comments on here about selection, loan players etc are just a reflection of how badly we all want to take this chance of sucess that I for one never thought I would see again in my lifetime. We've got as good a chance as any, I can't see Gary bringing in a new striker now so we will go with what we've got and hope that those players that GJ has kept faith in will repay that faith with 100% effort from now on in. If we miss out but have given everything then there is no disgrace or criticism. As for predicting the results, I think that's best dealt with by one of footballs oldest cliches - let's take each game as it comes. If we do, then the results will take care of themselves. Good luck to us all and I'm expecting to lose about half a stone over the next 3/4 weeks. And for all those old enough to remember, see you at the Emirates for the first game of next season. Godzilla
I don't see why we couldn't win all six. Yeah, why not? The biggest problem for me is that ever since GJ pointed towards 8 more wins, we all seem to be getting ahead of ourselves constantly. We have 6 massive games left. The biggest of them all is Norwich. Why? Because it's the next one. That's the mentality that worked for 35 games or so. Let's keep everything into perspective and get back to just winning the next game.
