CiderJar
I was assaulted physically and verbally by PC1634 of Hampshire Police and he will get his come-uppance. I spoke to Inspector Phillip Bates of Bitterne Police Station just now and he will be filing the report in an attempt to get me my justice and help stop all football fans being treated like second class citizens. If he doesn't the civil courts will. If anyone witnessed him shoving me and telling me to "Get over there you evil f**ing tw*t" then please contact me at ciderjar@hotmail.com and I will happily pass on your version of the events. My crime? Texting a mate and not looking at where I was being herded.
EmersonsKev
Where was this mate? I saw a poor guy getting pushed pretty much onto his ass just after we walked over the railway bridge on the dual carriage way. I was also pushed by a police officer while waiting for the escort to start, so hearing of your story doesn't suprise me.

Personally, I don't believe you.... .....Police with over the top actions, pi*s poor attitudes and the attitude of "its football fans so we can get away with doing things we would never get away with anywhere else..." nah cant be true :noexpression: 90% of them are total wa**ers end of story

CiderJar
No, silly, Walkers. Explains the tiredness. Silly walkers? No wonder they are tired. Where was this mate? I saw a poor guy getting pushed pretty much onto his ass just after we walked over the railway bridge on the dual carriage way. I was also pushed by a police officer while waiting for the escort to start, so hearing of your story doesn't suprise me. But seriously, yes it was just over the railway bridge and it was not so much the shove more the verbal assault that bothered me. I had a fleece jacket zipped up and there was no way he could identify me as a Bristol City fan. We were walking to Southampton Central station alongside dozens of Saints fans. There was no trouble at all. I was texting a mate but knew which way the station was. Obviously the police never take you on the most direct and quickest route because this would involve common sense. I was heading the right way to the station and absent mindedly wandered into the police cordon. The next thing I knew was that there was a black glove in my face. I think I said "What the fek?!" at which point I thought I was about to be arrested so I suppose I should consider myself grateful for a hefty shove and a stream of abuse. I wonder if he helps little old ladies over the road in this way? I will see this through on principle so if anyone saw, and in particular heard, anything I would be grateful for you to act as my witness. It has to stop. It spoilt a wonderful day in sunny Southampton. Well, that and the result.
SeaMillsRed
Good luck with the witnesses and police regarding this. I had my leg ripped open by a Police dog last year and was arrested for complaining, had one witness but the Police convicted me of being too close to a situation. I got a 3 year City ban and a fine. Criminal record for doing nothing. I hope you get the PC done but they stick together and "tell lies" even in court. Even the IPCC didnt care either. CiderJar
Anyone? There was one man who offered to be a witness at the time but I was so riled I didn't take any details from him. Or are we all content to carry on being herded around like cattle at football matches? * * Not like "cattle at football matches", that would be ridiculously dangerous, but "herded around like cattle" AND "at football matches". Maybe a comma? Who knows?

There probably isn't a City fan on here who hasn't seen some form of Police brutality at an away match - so good luck(as a previous poster said - I think you'll need it)
CiderJar
An update for you. In the absence of a witness I suppose this was the best I could hope for.... Mr Jar, As discussed this morning can I ask that you return this e-mail agreeing to me locally resolving this complaint by speaking with the officer involved, PS Adams and advising him:- - of the details of your complaint - that he should not be using force which is either unnecessary or excessive and cannot be fully justified - that he should not be impolite or discourteous at any time. If I carry out this action you must return this e-mail indicating your agreement to the above action and the below points:- 1. this complaint is suitable for local resolution as there is no evidence to support you. I have checked for CCTV and found none and the witness you saw has not been traced by yourself. 2. The purpose is to achieve some closure with you having peace of mind of bringing it to our attention and the officer and the force benefiting from learning from the details and taking that learning forward for future reference. 3. Once you have returned this e-mail the matter will be closed and you cannot withdraw your consent to this local resolution. I can still stop the process if I believe that the action is not suitable. For example I will not pursue the resolution if I do not think the officer is prepared to listen and learn from it, or if I find that he has numerous similar complaints meaning that more time should be spent in investigating this. 4. the local resolution is outside of the disciplinary process and he will not be disciplined. If you are happy to consent to all of the above please return the e-mail in agreement. Thank you for your time. Inspector Steve Morris Professional Standards Department Hampshire Constabulary I don't think you should feel too bad about this outcome - given the absence of a witness. You made your point to the OB - and if the plank did it to you, odds-on he will do it to someone else in the future, and your efforts could be important in ensuring that he gets what he deserves.
