Dolman Mac
Agreed. Just got back and considering the dire nature of the first half the second half support was quality considering the circumstances. A shame we didnt sell more tickets but made be proud to be with fans who despite being outnumbered 10-1 and lsoing 2-0outsung the home fans on the brink of promotion to the Premier League for large periods. Well done boys !.
Red Zeppelin
It was ok. I was expecting it to be like Charlton (which I didn't go to) but after Stoke's first goal large sections went quiet for a long time, and it was pretty standard away support. Many even booed them off the pitch at halftime. However, there were some sections who definitely sang non-stop (towards the left I think) and backed them all the way and in fairness between Adebola's goal and the final whistle the whole lot of us were quality. And yes we did outsing Stoke's fans who were pathetic. I would have liked the fans to really get behind the lads more after we conceded the first goal, but overall, and especially pre-match and second half, we were excellent. GeoTheCiderHead
Yeh agree. Was a great atmos from everyone throughout - especially the East End chant when the lads at the back were banging the back of the stand and then when we sang "Attack, Attack, Attack, Attack, Attack". Guest bcfc-andybuchs
Totally agree Dave! The fans were top class all the way through even though we were behind nearly all the game! Guest brizzleite
Hi Just got back from the Stoke game,to be fair there was an great following for bristol but for most of the game the singing was drowned out by the Stoke singing, for a spell in the second half(15 to 20 mins) you could hear your fans but 22,000 to 2000 is difficult to compete. Well done for your efforts this season and best of luck for the future
4eveREDDy
Well i could not make the game and finished work just in time to see second half, sjoke were very quiet and loads of empty seats in their stands, big roar of relief at the end though, but no gripes, they won but, you know the old saying, EVEN A BLIND SQUIRREL PICKS UP A NUT EVERY NOW AND AGAIN, make the most of it sjokers, next season should be a right scream if you do go up, cant wait. :rofl2br:

When Stoke sang the Delilah song, it was absolutely thunderous and brilliant support. That chant lasted about thirty seconds and the fans must have sang it about three to four times in NINETY minutes. During those times your mate could justifyably say 'wow how loud are the stoke fans'. But overall, they were diabolical and I've been more deafened in a library. Guest MysticalDescent
Stoke fan report: I was sat in the middle of the main stand, so that's a pretty fair place to judge respective noises from both sides, as the source of our noise is the Boothen End (i.e. the stand opposite you behind the goal). Your fans were atrocious in number but decent enough in voice. Obviously, they were outsung when we got going, but you did alright. For the majority of the time, it was the Stoke fans making the noise. The problem is that our ground has all those empty corners, wind sweeps in to create a cyclone down one end and sometimes sound doesn't carry too well. Given that singing 'bases' were as far apart as possible and the heavy wind, it was probably difficult to make each other out. As for empty seats, the home end had sold out. They were just partitions.

Both clubs are about the same size in truth apart from you currently have a bigger stadium which will soon flip around when we build ours. Bristol is by far a much better place than Stoke (property prices prove that) and as such you could say we have bigger potential than yourselves. As for the comments about the wind and sound, Don't flipping kid yourselves. When you were in full voice you could hear and see it. When we couldn't hear you I couldn't even see anyone trying to sing. See it's a funny thing. When fans' are singing you can see them singing and clapping and jumping around etc. But when they are not singing you can see them doing nothing because they are not singing. Also our away support yesterday was 10x better than your lot at AG earlier in the season.

East End Lad
I was in the center of the Boothan End yesterday and so I will call it as i saw it. The Stoke fans in fairness to them make noise, it was loud and Deliah is awesum to hear. Our boys looked in good voice as well. It was hard to hear the opposite end of the pitch but Bounce around the Ground lookd brill, as did Bristol City greatest team etc. It lookd a lot better then Southampton and I was quite annoyed to not be a part of it. It did look better then all of the away games I have been on this season (Coventry, Plymouth, QPR, Leicester, Southampton and today), but as I said the Stoke fans make noise and it is rare that the Atyeo at the gate are as loud as that (Maybe Hull a few weeks ago). The first (and last) time I have watched City from the 'away' stand/s and the away following looked pretty good.
kmpowell
The Stoke following sang that irritating 'Delilah' song 3 times, but apart from that and "Potters, Potters", they sang ###### all else from what I could hear. I will admit that the back of the Boothen End did look impressive though when they were bouncing around. Some of our stands could take a good lesson from how to try and drum up a home atmosphere! As for our away following, we tried our best in a stand that projects zero noise. It sounded very loud being in the stand, and apart from the 20 minute spell after we went 2-0 down we did sang the rest of the game (I've lost my voice, so I knwo I was!). I was very impressed for only 1800 of us, with most of the noise - from what I could tell - being started by us 'East Enders'. To be fair to Stoke, the noise they generated in the 30 seconds before kick off was very intimidating, and I think it may have unsettled our players a bit. We tried our best to lift it as much as possible though, but the accoustics of the stand made it an uphill battle.

Nogbad the Bad
The Stoke following sang that irritating 'Delilah' song 3 times, Delilah may be irritating sung by Stoke fans when you're playing against them, but they only sing it, they don't have ownership of it. It's a great old song, and the fact they've taken to singing it won't spoil that for me.
