andy g
From the way some of the questions are angled in the fans-survey, i suspect we're going to be getting a bowl. (with questions like "just supposing we had a bowl, what colour would you like the coffee cups to be ?...") But, Bramall lane is a reminder that you can have a completely enclosed stadium, with great accoustics - AND have four big stands. Plus, it looks well impressive from the outside. Would anyone else want to go for a stadium like that, given the choice ?
Ecko
Definatly mate, would be delighted if we got something like that or similar. Unfortunatly, we will get a souless bowl.
Guest DanC
I think the general feeling around Ashton gate is that most fans' do not want a soulless bowl. Most it would seem would prefer a traditional looking stadium with 4 different stands. Something like these would be ideal http://www.stadiumguide.com/parken.htm http://www.stadiumguide.com/rheinenergie.htm Or maybe even this one http://www.stadiumguide.com/aquile.htm which is a mix between four separate stands and a bowl. Hicksy-BCFC
I'll be honest and not paid much attention to the stadium issues, but what has been released to suggest we're getting a bowl? I hate those things. Something like the Ricoh would be schite! Best stadium I've been to was Old Trafford and that isn't your run of the mill bowl. I definatly like the second of those 3 - as a compromise to the bowl I think the first tier as a sweeping set of seats that surround the pitch with the corners filled in (like a 1 tierd bowl) and the second tier as 4 seperate stands would be an excellent idea and gives everyone what they want.
