NYTRAM
Anyone notice that Palace have the option to change date of 5th v 4th to the Saturday and Tuesday if they come 5th. Anyone know why this is? Info from the OS.

HomerRed
Yes, they seem to want to avoid playing at home on the Sunday. On their site they are warning about the disrupted train services for this Sunday's game and of course the play-off semi is a couple of hours earlier. But it seems odd that the whole schedule has to change because of them. Does this all come down to what the Plod want?
CiderEagle
That'll be the Old Bill. Never mind that Palace have almost zero history of violence and confrontation with any of the other London teams...

Just seems odd that when we request for the 1st game of the season to be an away game due to the clash with the ballon fiesta it gets ignored. Admin phantom Posted May 1, 2008 Admin Report Share Posted May 1, 2008 Maybe they are not allowed to play home games at the ground on a Sunday ? (Similar to Scunny having to have 7:30 kick offs)

(Similar to Scunny having to have 7:30 kick offs) Nah, Palace (under Malcolm Allison) were pioneers of Sunday football. Played Millwall on a Sunday back in the day and the game passed off way more peacefully than usual. Thinking was that the Millwall fans would all be at church.
