EmersonsKev
The play off money for all 5 games is pooled and then split 6 ways. This is how it used to work and I think is the only way they can do it.
Old Dazzler
Anyone know if we keep the receipts from our home leg and share the Wembley money. I'm not sure of the figures, but I remember hearing from previous years that the play-offs are not great money spinners especially in terms of gate money. I think a good portion is divided amongst all the clubs in the league (which obviously we benefit from when we are not in the p.os). The club have money making potential from a Wembley final with the obvious demand for shirts, mechandise, maybe DVDs, but without the gate money they would not make as much as they would from say the Johnstone's Trophy or any other Wembley final. Unless, of course, they win it
Eddie Hitler
Half the receipts of the semi-finals are shared amongst the four clubs. Half the reciepts of the final are shared between the two finalists. http://72.30.186.56/search/cache?ei=UTF-8&...=1&.intl=uk

I don't know how true that is though.

I don't know how true that is though. The rules I looked up were 06/07 so it could have changed. Wikipedia says they now go to the loser, but that's as reliable as a gas planning applciation.
