If only you hadn't lived up to your tight-fisted stereotype

If only you hadn't wasted money on building all seated stands

if only you hadn't accumulated £2million in debt

you might still be with us

Halifax Town AFC RIP

at least Altrincham FC get another season in the conference

it's not all doom and gloom :icecream:

Amazing how Alty continue to avoid relegation. Isn't it 3 years in a row they've been saved by someone else going bust/being docked points

yes that's right

07/08 Halifax liquidated after owing monies to local businessess and inland revenue

06/08 Boston relegated straight into Conference north following financial irregularities

05/06 Scarborough liquidated

Alty meanwhile pay all their bills on time, live within their means, run one of the last part-time teams in the conference, play in red and white and are called the robins.

Am I right in thinking that Altrincham used to be in the League a long long time ago, with those other long lose clubs like Barrow, Workington, Gainsborough to name but 3?

no never been in the league, but have won the conference twice in its first years, which would by today's rules had merited them automatic promotion to the league.

The club is pretty much one of the poorest in the conference, but fairly well run.
