Hillzider
I am fortunate enough to remember (just) Citys last time in the top flight and nothing will ever take away memories of beating the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd, and Tottenham in there own back yard. 38000 at home to beat Liverpool and that unforgettable night at Coventry are times you always remember. We all know that IF we can get back there it will be a lot lot tougher to do anything this time but as a City supporter all i have thought about is getting back up there and having a taste of it again All the talk of Money to be made has passed me by. But an article in todays Mail really does show how much the Game has changed. Despite being the worst team in Premier league history collecting just 11 points they have recieved £29M for the season working out at £2.6M per point. They also get £22 million in parachute payments over the next two years. Man Utd who collected 87 points recieved on average only £570,000 per point. It just makes you realise that no matter how much emotion i will be feeling if my beloved City make a return to the top flight the reality is the money will change the future of this club in a far bigger way. Onwards and Upwards!!
