If you have a good anti virus installed you shouldn't have this problem.  A good anti virus programme will advise you before you stream and sometimes stop the website altogether. I have no choice other than to stream and usually use cricfree, never get any virus from that site. I can't use Now Tv or Sky passes, as they won;t work outside the UK.  Before somebody say sign up for BCFC, it won't be on when games are televised or for Cup games either.

Plus with these streaming services you have to provide your card details. Did so once and not long after had a call from my bank asking if I had been to a health club in Manchester and ran up a £200+ bill. Fortunately, I had at roughly the same time used my card in Bristol hence the call from my bank. The £200 wasn't charged to me and I was sent new a new card etc. I don't know if it was because I had given my card details to a streaming service as it might just be a coincidence, but I won't sign up with any streaming service with my new details.

I would just echo the warnings about the risks of using streams and the various malware that goes with them.

Just this week my wife was horrified to discover more than 20 porno sites somehow saved in a favorites folder on my pc. My browsing history had been tampered with and suggested hundreds of hours of porn browsing. And worst of all, a screen had been minimised which contained a live feed grot video from hotchud.com featuring over 60 overweight Germans hard at it.

When I explained this must all be linked to a feed I used for a recent skybet championship game, she made me promise to keep away from football streaming and went out and bought me a full HD subscription to sky.

Don't be an innocent victim like me fellow OTIB'ers. COYR.

Never used a live stream and never will. My reservations on such services are that people leave themselves open to malware being dropped on their computers. To a certain extent this can be addressed by having a fully patched machine and having up to date Anti-virus (assuming that there are no zero day exploits). For those who are a bit more tech savvy, use a Virtual Machine and just delete it after use. But remember, 'nothing' is perfectly secure.

Thanks for the info @CrazyInWeston. I'm looking to drop my basic (no sport) Sky package because it's just getting too expensive. I'll look into Now TV as an option.

Now tv works well, I have a ‘dumb’ tv but run it using PS4, picture and frame rate both fine in HD.  Worth the money rather than missing the first 15 mins, panicking the streams going to drop and getting increasingly angry that it doesn’t work!

Generally when my mate used to stream, they got some pretty good ones. Used to watch it with them.

PC didn't go to shit either. I remember several years ago a Chinese (with English subtitles) thing.

Cost nothing, was called CCTV. PP live also, something like this.

We were in League One so barely on a stream but some fine internationals, PL, foreign football. Chinese didn't mind clearly...

Quite agree, it's rather like getting free entry into Ashton Gate on the proviso that you sit next to someone with an horrendous cold, miss portions of the action and give your bank details to a stranger. Jeez, far more stress free to pay for entry and enjoy the occasion.

Never, never, never give you card details to any streaming service, as you found they will rip you off.  With cricfree if you get the stream in a small screen and you try to set it to full screen you have to look carefully for the very small X's and if you click on them and it takes you to another screen, just close it, go back and click on the X's again and lo and behold you will have full screen, simples.

The evil cash cows that are Sky and BT are another matter. In my opinion they have ruined the game that I love (but that’s another story).

I believe it's only one free sports day pass per account at a time, sadly you cannot stack them up and must use the day pass before obtaining another (I think). Which sucks because passes are valid for a year on NowTV if you haven't started them. (Basically you choose when you wanna start it, if 3:43am then so be it, your 24hrs start now! - It'll cut off at 3:43am the next day.) (same with other passes.)
