Football is nothing without passion so you understand the emotion but completely out of order the way Nuno behaved.

The club are not obliged to let the sent off manager into the directors box, it is a courtesy, somewhere to show respect.

Is it right he was stood up in there giving instructions on the phone all game? Christ talk about make yourself at home.

And his celebration, it's quite obvious what he was doing and who it was aimed at, he wasn't facing his fans for a start.

He was facing 70 year olds who had the good grace to accommodate him and who always show restraint and respect.

If he did this in the box of the President of Benfica/Porto, there'd be a brawl and the country would be in full meltdown.

So he knows exactly what he was doing and it's very sad. It's one of the reasons Portuguese football is a bit of a farce.

It's always about coaches egos and emotions, every bloody year the big story in Portugal is a manager-led free for all.

Just remember how we celebrated against Man U. Can't exactly blame the bloke for going mental when they scored.

When the final whistle went against Utd Lee stayed calm and shook hands with Mourinho and his coaches.

Given Nuno was a guest so to speak similar dignity would have been nice.

Wonder if he and Lee are still mates?:shifty:

I also thought if you were sent off you can’t come on the pitch even after the final whistle for ref still in control of game, so how come he was on there celebrating,

Have I got that wrong?

He apparently went to try and watch the rest of the game on the team coach (they’d given him a walkie talkie so he could communicate with the bench) but the pictures from there weren’t good enough, so he then made his way to the directors box.

Fair play to Alan. Nuno, could and should have shown more respect sitting there than he did.

Lee went mental when we scored and so did Nuno. No difference. Are we really bad losers?

It was totally classless, I really don't know why he was so upset about in the first place, the 2 sending offs were correct, the award of the free kick leading to his dismissal was soft but quite clearly not a penalty, the free kick leading to the equaliser was soft as well and the free kick leading to the winner is one of those decisions that could have gone either way, in fact the only clear point was the Wolves player chopped Pack down.

Another manager along with Jose, Conte and Pep who believe that they can walk on water, remove the money and then lets see actually how good they are?.

Yes how dare a manager celebrate a late goal. Grow up.

Doesn't really bother me but I think the context is important. Of course he's entitled to celebrate - but his celebration was directed at people in the crowd for some reason. City didn't have to let him in the directors box and he abused that privilege a bit.

Funny to see Alan Dicks having a go at him though!

Can you imagine SL, MD, the directors celebrating like that in another clubs Directors box?

I can't believe some fans think that's acceptable by a manager in a directors box...really?

It's like SL leading a chorus of ' who are ya'...it just isn't done.

Tbh he just came over as a complete **** at that moment, don’t think he did himself any favours.

Seems that way doesnt it....

No, because the equivalent would have been Lee entering Utd's technical area and celebrating wildly in the faces of their bench.

See also Patrick Dicks' tweet above. There is a right and wrong way of celebrating.
